VisionLounge gives back!

Our mission is to connect people with a Vision. First of all: to connect you with your own Vision for life and the goals and dreams you wish to create. Secondly, we focus on connecting you with other people with a Vision so you can all grow together.

A logical and exciting next step for us is to connect with the Vision of a number of fantastic charities, who do amazing work to create a better life for others. They have a HUGE Vision, and we are proud to support them. You can too! Until the end of September VisionLounge will donate 40% of all revenue generated by product sales and advertisements to one of these charities. You get to choose which one by voting in our charities poll below!

We also include their website, so you could make an instant donation if you choose to.
(Please note: Donating in this way is separate from VisionLounge. VisionLounge does not benefit from this)

Here are the charities you can vote for:

The Hunger Site
The Hunger Site provides a feel-good way to help promote awareness and prevent hunger deaths every day - through easy and quick online activities. With a simple, daily click of the yellow "Click Here to Give - it's FREE" button at The Hunger Site, visitors help provide food to those in need. Visitors pay nothing. Food is paid for by the site's sponsors and distributed by Mercy Corps worldwide and by America's Second Harvest to food banks throughout the United States.
Like you, we want to help solve the global and yet very personal problem of hunger. Although it does seem an overwhelming task, there is hope. As Amartya Sen, the 1998 Nobel Prize Laureate in Economics states: The tendency to think of growing more food as the only way of solving a food problem is strong and tempting, and often it does have some rationale. But the picture is more complex than that. We must continue to alleviate the immediate suffering of the hungry by sending food to families in need, but simultaneously we must move toward economic solutions that will end the poverty cycle. The path to long-term life-saving economic stability and growth will come through a concentrated effort by a committed group of world citizens working together to cultivate peace.

Kiva - loans that change lives

How Kiva Works: Choose an Entrepreneur, Lend, Get Repaid

1) Lenders like you browse profiles of entrepreneurs in need, and choose someone to lend to. When they lend, using PayPal or their credit cards, Kiva collects the funds and then passes them along to one of our microfinance partners worldwide.

2) Kiva's microfinance partners distribute the loan funds to the selected entrepreneur. Often, our partners also provide training and other assistance to maximize the entrepreneur's chances of success.

3) Over time, the entrepreneur repays their loan. Repayment and other updates are posted on Kiva and emailed to lenders who wish to receive them.

4) When lenders get their money back, they can re-lend to someone else in need, donate their funds to Kiva (to cover operational expenses), or withdraw their funds.
